Fracking Boom Tied to Methane Spike in Earth’s Atmosphere – National Geographic

Article Synopsis – New research suggests that the increase of methane in the atmosphere during the last decade is from fossil fuel production- half of it from fracking. Studies have shown that “fracking operations leak, vent, or flare between 2 and 6 percent of the gas produced”.
