Article Synopsis – Recent studies have found microplastics in remote areas like the Rocky Mountains, the Alps, the Arctic and even the deepest trenches of the ocean. The plastics are showing up in the rain and snow all over the world. Some researchers believe the microplastics are “being blown up into the air by winds and then carried long distances through the atmosphere”.
