Article Synopsis – In a new analysis, a free market think tank finds that the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is fiscally unsustainable and should stop writing coverage for new construction in 100-year floodplains. They also suggest “NFIP rates for any new construction should be adjusted to reflect future changes in assessments of flood risk”. To read the actual article click here
