Rising Seas, Rising Threats – Taipei Times

Article Synopsis – According to a recent study, by 2039, Taiwan will have “sea level rise of over 3cm, ocean temperatures will rise around 0.7 degrees Celsius, and the pH of coast waters will fall by 0.05 to 0.07”.  These changes are expected to cause devastating storms and storm surges that will affect trade and tourism, food insecurity, fresh water shortages, and threats to national security. To read the actual article click here
