Draft UN Report Warns of Rising Seas, Storm Surges, Melting Permafrost – Phys Org

Article Synopsis – The IPCC has released a draft environmental report on the state of the oceans and cryosphere, and the news is unsurprisingly not good. The report states that we are to expect “a steady decline in fish stocks, increased ocean acidification, significant permafrost melt, a hundred-fold or more increase in the damages caused by superstorms, and hundreds of millions of people displaced by rising seas if carbon emissions are not drastically reduced. The final report will be released on September 25.
