Bahamas Relief Efforts Frustrated as Dorian Pulls Away – The New York Times

Article Synopsis – Hurricane Dorian hit the northern Bahamas as a category 5 hurricane, killing at least 7 people and decimating much of the Abacos and Grand Bahama. At its highest point, storm surge reached 23 feet. The Coast Guard has flown in to help, but conditions on the islands are so bad that relief efforts have been difficult.
