Article Synopsis – According to a new report from the UN climate panel, if carbon emissions continue, “sea-level rise will become unmanageable and life will flee the world’s tropical oceans”. The report also noted that mercury and toxic bacteria will increase in seafood, food and waterborne illnesses will increase, extreme storms and flooding events will increase, as well as coral die-offs, mass species loss, and freshwater shortages.
