St Marys GAArticle Synopsis – A study to assess the vulnerability of St. Marys, GA to sea level rise concludes nearly 62 percent of the city is designated in a special flood hazard area. Some areas of the city are vulnerable to coastal flooding from storm surges and saltwater inundation from extreme high tides. Other areas are vulnerable to shallow flooding from heavy rains that cannot be effectively drained by local stormwater infrastructure. To read the actual article click here.
