Article Synopsis – A study to assess the vulnerability of St. Marys, GA to sea level rise concludes nearly 62 percent of the city is designated in a special flood hazard area. Some areas of the city are vulnerable to coastal flooding from storm surges and saltwater inundation from extreme high tides.
