Article Synopsis – A new study has found that mega-melts, like the one Greenland experienced in July in which more than half the ice sheet’s surface was melting, cause the remaining ice to become more dense. These dense ice slabs have “already caused Greenland’s runoff zone to expand by about 26 percent and added about a mm to global sea levels”. To read the actual article click here.
