Sixteen-Year-Old Swede Scolds Society

Scoldings are usually not enjoyable for either party, nor even for most observers. If warranted however, and if delivered sharp and short, the sting is understood by both parties as a message that needed to be said and heard.

With her 3-minute presentation Monday at the United Nations General Assembly, Sixteen year old Greta Thunberg, has surely given the most widely watched scolding delivered by a teenager to adults in the history of our species.

She speaks truth. Before she began her school strike for climate in August 2018 as a 15 year old, she was unknown. Her rise as the voice of the moral message to all the adults — in the room, and around the planet — is truly extraordinary.

It speaks for itself and should be shared. There are those moments in history, when we are called upon to ‘do the right thing.’
