Article Synopsis – Rising sea levels and more frequent flooding events may drive coastal nesting birds around the world to extinction, a team of international researchers say following their 20-year study. The birds in the study did not appear to be adapting to flooding events by nesting in higher areas. The flooding events are only expected to increase with climate change and sea level rise.
