Article Synopsis – Local governments in South Florida must deal with the daily effects of climate change and sea level rise and prepare for the future if they want to protect their economies and residents. Development in coastal areas and on undeveloped land must be stopped or limited and public money must be used to protect natural areas and restore the Everglades. “If we can’t show residents, businesses and investors (current and future) that South Florida is prepared to confront climate change and sea-level rise and prepare for the future, we are in big trouble”. To read the actual article click here
