Article Synopsis – The relationship between hurricanes and climate change is not simple and the science is still emerging. While hurricanes are not necessarily caused by climate change, they are being affected by it. Tropical storms and hurricanes gain energy from warm water, so they can be intensified by global warming. The theories and models generally show an increase of very intense storms.
