Ocean Heat Waves Are Threatening Marine Life – The New York Times

Article Synopsis – A new study has found that the ocean is experiencing more frequent and prolonged heatwaves that are damaging marine life. “Marine heat waves have become, on average, 34 percent more frequent and 17 percent longer since 1925. Over all, there are 54 percent more days per year with marine heat waves globally.” These heatwaves are having an affect on everything from coral reefs to seagrass beds, to seabirds. To read the actual article click here
