NASA took the 1st, astonishing aerial photos of the giant new Antarctic iceberg – Mashable

Article Synopsis – As part of Operation IceBridge, NASA flew over the Larsen C Ice Shelf in Antarctica and took the first aerial photos of the Delaware-sized iceberg that broke free in July. The iceberg, named A-68, was one of the largest ever observed on Earth. Since A-68 is floating ice, it will not directly contribute to sea level rise, but it is a harbinger of more melting to come. To read the actual article click here.
