Article Synopsis – High-tide flooding along the U.S. coastline has increased 300 to 900 percent in the last half century, and with the flooding has come an increase in mold and bacteria. “Mold can trigger allergies like asthma and skin reactions, and some of them contain mycotoxins or volatile organic compounds in their spores, which can cause serious disease.
