Melting Ice Sheets Will Add Over 15 Inches to Global Sea Level Rise by 2100 – Space.com
Article Synopsis – According to a new study, if greenhouse gas emissions continue at the current rate, “global sea levels could rise more than 15 inches (38 cm) by 2100”.
My Comment – This is misleading. Reference to 15 inches should not be read as prediction for SL rise. Like most projections, it is raising the element of one particular component of rising sea level, but is not holistic. More comprehensive projections now foresee as much as 5-10 feet of SLR this century. To read the actual article click here.
