Article Synopsis – Residents of the Sundarbans- islands off the coast of India in the Bay of Bengal- are being forced to migrate from their homes due to sea level rise. “Between 1969 and 2009, about 210 sq km of landmass has eroded in the region” while sea levels are currently rising by almost 15 mm a year.
