Article Synopsis – According to a new study, “three-quarters of the coastal beaches and marshes from North Carolina to central Florida face a very high risk of erosion by 2030”. This will affect not only the residents of these communities, but the wildlife as well. Species that use the ecosystems for breeding, like sea turtles and shore birds, are the most vulnerable to losses of these habitats. To read the actual article click here.
