Florence Floods Damaged Thousands More Homes Because of Sea Level Rise, Study Shows – The News & Observer

Article Synopsis – Hurricane Florence caused devastating storm surge in the Carolinas and Virginia, affecting more than 51,000 homes. A new study has shown that if sea levels had remained the same as they were in 1970, 11,000 of those homes could have been spared. And it’s only expected to get worse.
