Article Synopsis – As the Earth continues to warm, some of America’s oldest farmland, from the Eastern Seaboard to the Florida Everglades, is being threatened by rising seas. As sea levels rise, the saltwater contaminates the freshwater tables below ground, killing the crops. One possible solution is for farmers to grow crops that are more salt tolerant.
