FEMA Drops ‘Climate Change’ From Its Strategic Plan – NPR

Article Synopsis – FEMA, the federal government’s first responder to floods, hurricanes and other natural disasters, has eliminated references to climate change from its strategic planning document, which outlines plans for building preparedness, for the next four years. Although the document says, “costs are expected to continue to increase due to rising natural hazard risk”, it does not say what could be causing the rise in natural hazards. There are no references to global warming, rising sea levels, extreme weather events or any other term related to climate change. To read the actual article click here
