Article Synopsis – In the face of increased flooding events, Canada has decided to limit disaster relief and force people to leave their homes. It is a strategy that the U.S. needs to seriously consider. “As of last year, the United States had 36,774 houses and other buildings the government describes as ‘severe repetitive loss properties,’ homes that have flooded and been repaired at least twice”.
