Article Synopsis – New research has shown it may be possible to accelerate rock weathering which triggers chemical processes that remove CO2 from the air. “One recent study suggests that adding finely crushed silicate rock to all cropland soil in China, India, the U.S. and Brazil could trigger weathering that would remove more than 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year.” To read the actual article click here.
