A Group of Scientists just Presented Updated Sea Level Rise Projections to Tampa Bay Politicians. Here’s What They Say. – Tampa Bay Times

Article Synopsis – The Tampa Bay Climate Science Advisory Panel is predicting between 1.9 and 8.5 feet of sea level rise by the year 2100 in Tampa Bay. These forecasts are 12 to 18 inches higher than the same panel predicted in 2015. This is due to increased carbon dioxide outputs and a better understanding of arctic ice melt patterns since 2015. The wide range in predictions is primarily due to the unknown quantities of future CO2 emissions. To read the actual article click here.
