At Many River Deltas, Scientists are Missing a Major Source of Sea Level Rise – Science

Article Synopsis – A new study suggests that sea level gauges in river deltas and low-lying coastlines do not account for land subsidence, severely underestimating the amount of sea level rise in those areas. The scientists argue that “deploying elevation tables in deltas around the world could resolve the uncertainties, creating a global database.
