Article Synopsis –  In order to achieve an affordable carbon-free energy system, along with wind and solar, we need to incorporate nuclear, geothermal, and fossil-fuel plants that capture and store their emissions. “It is much cheaper to include firm low-carbon technologies such as nuclear, carbon capture, or reliable but often overlooked renewables like geothermal or hydro dams with large reservoirs, than it would be to build a clean energy system without them”. To read the actual article click here
