Controversial Spraying Method Aims to Curb Global Warming – CBS News

Article Synopsis –  A group of researchers has looked at a hypothetical geo-engineering plan that would shield the Earth from sunlight by spraying sulphate particulates into the atmosphere, in an attempt to reduce global warming. While technically possible and relatively inexpensive, it does not address other effects of global warming, such as ocean acidification. There is also great potential for serious side effects, and much more research is needed before any large-scale geo-engineering project can be seriously considered. To read the actual article click here
