Diving Robots find that Antarctic Seas Release Surprising Amounts of Carbon Dioxide in Winter – Princeton University

Article Synopsis – New data suggests that the Southern Ocean surrounding Antarctica, previously thought to absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, releases significant amounts of carbon dioxide during the winter. These findings indicate that the Southern Ocean is near neutral with respects to carbon dioxide, which has ” important implications for our understanding of the global carbon cycle”. To read the actual article click here
