California flooding, sea-level rise linked – Capitol Weekly
Article Synopsis – Sea level rise in California is already causing more frequent flooding, worsening damage from high tides and torrential rains, and increasing erosion of sea cliffs. Due to geographical variation, some parts of the coast will experience greater sea level rise than others. Although scientists don’t know exactly how much or how quickly the seas will rise (due to too many unknown variables, such as future carbon emission levels), it could be more than 10 feet by the end of the century.
