Report: Charleston may flood almost every day at high tide by 2100 – The Post and Courier

Article Synopsis – According to a national climate report recently leaked to The New York Times, Charleston, South Carolina could face the prospect of tidal flooding almost every day by 2100. In 2015, Charleston created a comprehensive plan to address rising seas. While better drainage systems, higher sea walls, new zoning and building codes will reduce Charleston’s vulnerability to rising seas, residents’ attitudes toward daily life may have to evolve, as well. To read the actual article click here.
