As sea levels rise, NOAA scientists work toward seasonal tidal flooding forecasts – The Virginian Pilot

Article Synopsis – A team of NOAA scientists is working on a tool to predict tidal flooding for coastal communities across the country on a quarterly basis. They’re hoping that the seasonal forecasts will help everybody from emergency planners to homeowners be more attuned to the problem. NOAA is modeling it after the National Integrated Drought Information System, a collaboration of seven federal agencies.
