Article Synopsis – A new study has found that melting glaciers and ice caps not only raise sea levels, but also reduce the drinking water supply in remote glacial regions. “Of all the regions studied by the researchers, Alaska lost the most ice, followed by Canada’s ice caps, the southern Andes Mountains, high-mountain Asia (the Himalayas), the Russian Arctic, Iceland and Svalbard.” To read the actual article click here
