2019 Was the Second-Hottest Year Ever, Closing Out the Warmest Decade – The New York Times

Article Synopsis – Researchers at NASA and NOAA announced that 2019 was the second hottest year on record and the last decade was the hottest ever recorded. Temperatures in 2019 were almost “1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) higher than the average from the middle of last century”, which is only a fraction of a degree lower than the hottest year on record- 2016.
